Bio

A native of southern California, Freddie’s New York and Los Angeles credits include: The Los Angeles Premier of Tick Tick Boom! (Michael, 3 ovation nominations including best musical), Children of the Night (Oscar Wilde, ovation nomination best musical), Dreamgirls (Trumpet), Pippin (Pippin), Miss Saigon (U/S The Engineer, club owner and Esteves), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Simeon, both in NY and Los Angeles), Broadway Bares XIII (Incan God).

His film and television credits include: Star Trek (The Academy Instructor), Ransom (directed by Ron Howard), Subway Stories (directed by Spike Lee) Law and Order SVU (paramedic).

He is proud to be co-founder of The Sobar Productions company and has starred with as well as directed such stars as: Leslie Jordan, Bruce Vilanch, Cirque de Soleil, Christian Slater, Gary Sinise, Mel Gibson, Sandi Patti, Julie Andrews, Denice Williams, Nia Peeples, Julie Garnye, Jai Rodriguez, Wilson Cruz, Peter Paige and of course Mickey Mouse. He has performed in over 38 countries including Greece, New Zealand, Jordan, Tasmania, Indonesia, Israel, and Australia, and is happy to have landed back here in Los Angeles.

Freddie is also currently teaching acting and voice at The Freddie Lara Actors Studio in Hollywood, CA.
